ABLE (ACKU Box Library Extension) is an outreach program of ACKU. This program was first started in 1996 as ARIC Box Library Extension in Peshawar. ABLE continued to serve Afghan refugees in Pakistan and rural Afghan committee from its Peshawar office until moving to Kabul in 2005.
ABLE program has two main components in it. They are ABLE library program and ABLE publications. The objective of the ABLE program is to encourage a reading culture among Afghans thus improve the literacy.
