ACKU hosted a lecture program by Jean-Pierre Perrin, a French journalist. He began by describing the society that Alexander was raised in, and he referred to Alexander’s interest on the vast expansion of his territory. Mr. Perrin focused on Alexander’s arrival and 4 to 5 years sojourn in Afghanistan. During this time, he established provinces like Herat and Kandahar. He ended with a discussion of Alexander crossing the Hindukush, and the difficulties faced by his army.
