ACKU hosted the second National Journalism Conference at ACKU facility. The conference was organized by PAYK Investigative Journalism Centre, in which over a hundred news reporters, Journalists from Konar, Laghman, Nengarhar, Paktia, Herat, Balkh, Bamyan, Jawzjan, Kondoz, Takhar, Parwan and Students from Faculty of Journalism from public and private universities from Kabul participated. The conference aimed to evaluate the improvements of reporting quality in Afghanistan during the past year. Mr. Rateb Noori, a member from PAYK stated that PAYK has promoted quality production and publication of over two hundred research/semi-research reports on corruption, security, elections and violence. The program also had a panel discussion in which the potential possibilities that could contribute to the betterment of the reporting in Afghanistan was discussed. The program followed with question and answers from the audience and panelists.
