Housing more than 170,000 documents in Farsi-Dari, Pashto, English and other local and European languages, the Afghanistan Center at Kabul University (ACKU) is also home to thousands of photographs and other items related to Afghanistan and its people. Invaluable materials covering the recent and distant past comes from a wide variety of public and private sources including, but not limited to, the Afghan government, private publishing houses, UN agencies, NGOs and international scholars.
