ACKU hosted “The Freedom of the Press Day” celebration that was organized by the Journalism Faculty of Kabul University. At the opening, Mr. Abdul Waheed Wafa, the executive director of ACKU, noted the importance of this day for Journalists. He also remarked that in the last decade the afghan press has improved in terms of quantity, while in terms of quality, there was still a long way to go.

During the course of the programme, lecturers from Kabul University gave presentations about Afghanistan’s press activities over the past one and half decades.
