The second Afghanistan Studies Conference: Independence, More Independence and Beyond Independence was successfully conducted on August 17 and 18, 2019 at ACKU. The Conference brought together 60 local and global scholars and had 10 disciplinary and interdisciplinary panels wherein scholars presented their papers on different topics related to the Conference theme; each session ended with interactive panel discussions. In addition to these scholarly discussions, it also provided valuable networking opportunity and set the stage for further cooperation and interaction among scholars and audiences. Over 200 university students, scholars, and academics from inside and outside of Afghanistan attended the Conference.
